A smart water detector is a low-cost solution for detecting leaks in your plumbing or moisture in your home. The unit sends an alert to your smartphone via the Flo by Moen app, sounds an audible alarm, or triggers a blinking LED light to inform you of a problem.
When used in conjunction with the Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff system, a leak detection by the Flo by Moen Smart Water Detector will automatically shut off your home’s water, saving you from costly water damage. The unit also comes with an optional extension cable with a sensing disk for reaching hard-to-reach tight spaces, extending up to 48 inches.
Flo by Moen Smart Water Detector is Wi-Fi enabled but is not dependent on a Wi-Fi signal for basic functions. The Wi-Fi is only required to communicate with a mobile device but will still work on its own in sounding an alert and flashing its LED light if moisture or a leak is detected.
